WASHINGTON, DC – Veinte, vingt, venti, TWENTY! Any way you say it and in any language, Taberna del Alabardero has been a fixture in the Washington, DC dining scene for 20 years, which is no small feat in a city that sees restaurants come and go often. Friday, March 27, 2009 marks the restaurant’s 20th anniversary and will kick off a year-long celebration with an array of unique offers and events that have never been done by the restaurant before, as well as some guest favorites. The first one begins in April. Throughout the month Taberna will offer more than 100 wines at retail cost, regularly priced at $55 or above, from their award-winning wine list.

Among the wines included in this festive deal are a 2004 Maria Casanova Rose from D.O. Cava for $50.00, originally priced at $90.00; a 2004 Milmanada Chardonnay from D.O. Conca de Barbera for $55.00, originally $125.00; a 1998 Torres Reserva Real from D.O. Penedes for $195.00, originally $350.00; and a 2004 Tierra Fidel from D.O.Ca. Rioja for $50.00, originally $115.00.
